Cost of living in Trentino
An incoming guest average budget will have to consider general expenses, such as:
- accommodation: a place in a double bedroom in a private house can cost from 250 to 350 €/month plus up to 150 €/month for the general bills (water, electricity, heating, etc.). The standard rate for a flat for 2-4 people can be from 500 to 800 €/month plus 250 €/month for bills. Please note that if you find private accommodation through a real estate agent, you will be asked to pay one-month rent for the service. Besides that, you will be usually required to give the landlord 3 months rent at least as a deposit for the housing contract.
- issuing/renewal of the stay permit: 30.00€ for the submission of the request, 14.62 € for the stamp duty, 27.50 € for the release of the electronic stay permit;
- enrolment in the Italian Health System: 149.77€/calendar year (non-EU students);
- meals and beverages in a medium-priced restaurant/pizzeria: 12-30 €;
- food from supermarkets: approximately 250 €/month;
- bus transport: 1 € for one single ride; 9 € for 10 tickets; for students and Doctoral students under 30es: 23 € for the monthly bus pass; 183 € for the yearly bus pass;
- a drink in a bar: 3 € small beer, 1 € a cup of coffee, 1 € a croissant;
- a movie ticket: 8 €;
- a museum ticket: 4-10 €;
- a swimming pool entrance ticket: 5 € (4.10 € unisport card)
