Grapevine Applied Genomics
Research Group (DGBPF GAV) - Grape breeding, such as fruit development and composition, and stress resistance.
We are investigating traits that are relevant for grape breeding, such as fruit development and composition, and stress resistance. To do this we use mapping populations derived from crosses between divergent parents, a large germplasm collection and very diverse subsets of grapevines. We perform quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis to dissect the basis of these traits combined with population mapping studies involving candidate genes.
